You’re right, I completely forget about of the small things I do automatically. I hope you will continue to point them out to me so that I can give them attention in the future.

Thanks for the request. Some times I struggle to find something to create a video about, so it’s great to have someone ask for something and give me an idea.

I did one a very long time ago (4 years?) but that wouldn’t be the same now, so I will do another one for you tonight or tomorrow.

It’s certainly something that deserves study. You are right the faster you get DPS on your target the more effective DPS you will do.

One drawback to mixing drones is different speeds. The Valkyries will get there much sooner than the Hammerheads.

As far as Drones go, the current best overall drones (speed, hp, gun range, etc) are Amarr, but they are EM damage and not very helpful against Armor Tanks.

In my Pilgrim I carry a set of Infiltrators and a set of Hammerheads so I have a choice, however switching Hammers for Valkyries would probably be a good choice to better deal with Armor Tanks.

As a very general rule Thermal is the best overall damage to do when you don’t know what your enemy has. But it’s much better to chose your damage type to fit the weakness of your opponent.

This is why you see me checking ship info before and during fights so that I can confirm the resists and likely weak points.

Also, since the range you engage at is usually less then 30km from drone drop to target speed isn’t a huge factor. Perhaps 2-5 seconds.

Having thought it through while writing this, I think the best way to go is with EM drones and Explosive (Hammers and Valkeries), so you can chose based on the target.

Mixing while providing a broad catch all would not be optimal.

The new T3 Destroyers are very powerful. I’ve gotten to the point where I look at them as fast Cruisers because they have almost as much HP and DPS as a Cruiser.

You may be able to kill a T3 Destroyer 1vs1 with a T1 Stabber but I wouldn’t take on more than 1 at a time.

Like Phrynohyas said getting good webs and scrams on them so you can track is a great way to go.

    That’s awesome, congratulations.

That buzz is addictive. I still crave it to this day.

In an Incursus with just a AB it will be near impossible to catch
MWD Kites. The only chances you have are sitting in a FW site at zero on the warp in, sitting on a bubble, or catching someone not paying attention.

If you’re having cap trouble with a AB then you should put some time into training your core capacitor skills like: Capacitor Management, Capacitor System Operation, Afterburner, Fuel Conservation, and Controlled Burst.

Get those to level 3 at least ASAP, then look into getting some to level 4 later.

Like I say in the Enyo videos a orbit works better at avoiding getting scrammed than keep-at. However it’s not guaranteed.

You need to watch for people trying to bounce you and be able to adjust your orbit distance based on their actions. Often times watching their ship by hitting the “Loot At” button can tell you what their are doing.

MWDs don’t overload for long but if you see the need, you can overload for a few cycles early in the fight to give you self some extra speed.

That’s weird it logs you out, I will look into it and see if anything is different about that forum. Thank you for telling me.

The Svipul is certainly capable of big game hunting. However if you plan to go after large targets you give up some of your Frigate Fighting ability.

The Svipul has a bonus for a probe launcher so one very possible way to use it would be to go into deep null and hunt people in sites.

This fit for example could tank most ratting ships:

    [Svipul, 10mn Deep Null Hunter]
    Damage Control II
    Micro Auxiliary Power Core I
    Gyrostabilizer II
    Nanofiber Internal Structure II

    10MN Afterburner II
    Gistii A-Type Small Shield Booster
    Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
    Warp Scrambler II

Expanded Probe Launcher I, Sisters Combat Scanner Probe
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma S
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma S
Small Diminishing Power System Drain I
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma S
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma S

Small Core Defense Operational Solidifier II
    Small Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer II
    Small Anti-Kinetic Screen Reinforcer II

You could probably get by with a cheaper shield booster if needed.

The Svipul is certainly capable of dropping cruisers and bigger but it’s very much a case by case deal. You need to know your ship and know the enemies. However a 10mn AB will allow you to escape 90% of the time should it go poorly.

Looks like a good fit. I can definitely see going for more agility and range being helpful.

Interesting, I’ll have to check that out. But I love hull tanks too. People think you’re almost dead and then over extend themselves.
