Svipul PVP Fitting Video Guide

The Svipul is the Minmatar Tactical Destroyer that can be fit in a MANY different ways. Common Fittings for it are the InstaLock InstaKill Arty Fit (for nuking frigs and pods), the 10mn Afterburner Arty fit (for stringing and killing frigates), and the Dual Medium ASB Fitting that boosts a very powerful (and short lived) active tank.

In this guide however we won't be fitting any of those. They are too vanilla, and too common. Instead we are going to Build it as a "Rifter on 'Roids!"

When I first looked at this ship, it screamed Super Rifter to me. The Shield Tank, High DPS, and Fantastic Speed and Agility are amazing. Just like my old Shield Buffer Rifter Fit that got me countless kills.

But before I give too much away, you should watch the video.

In this video I not only show you how to fit the Svipul, but give you a lesson on how to make your own fits and how to use EFT to find a ships strengths. So even if you aren't fitting a Svipul, you can learn a lot about EFT from this video.

As you can see the fitting is pretty impressive. It puts out almost 400DPS, it moves at over 3,000 M/s, and it's buffer tank has over 23,000 EHP!

That's the speed of a fast Frigate and the DPS output and Tank of a Cruiser!

Note: Updated with new post Nerf Fit

The most important thing to remember when flying this Svipul Fitting is make good use of the Modes. Use your Propulsion Mode to get your tackle or get away from trouble, then the moment the fight begins switch to Defensive Mode.

Sharpshooter modes will be of little use for you in the fit, but if you see that you are having trouble tracking a frigate (or drone) in close on you, then switch to Sharpshooter Mode.

Finally, keep in mind that if you choose to fight other Tactical Destroyers, the current "Meta" is a 10mn Afterburner. This isn't much threat to you in most cases but is very difficult to kill with this setup and not worth your time because they will just run away like a ship with warp stabs in most cases.
