One of the most powerful tools for EVE Online is EVE Fitting Tool, otherwise know as EFT.
EFT allows you to try countless variations of fits for your ships. Then you can see detailed stats and even run some basic simulations to see how different modules will effect you. You can even get graphs of actual damage output at various ranges and speeds.
In my opinion EFT and EVEMon are essential for all EVE players.
